Club Paradise House Reef

Shore-entry. Depth 3-17 m. This meandering reef features different species of tunicates, sponges, sea stars and sea cucumbers. An aggregation of giant clams (Tridacna spp., mostly endangered) is located at 12 m.

Ship Wreck “Kyokuzan Maru”
30 minutes by banca. Max. depth 35m. This Japanese freighter measures about 152m long and lies almost upright. The main structures remain intact. It carries in one of its holds a car and truck. This wreck provides shelter to batfishes and substrate for the ubiquitous bivalves. Fusiliers, trevallies, barracudas and rays are occasionally seen.

Diboyuyan
15 minutes by banca. Depth 3-28 m. Stony corals of magnificent formation. Mantas, blacktip and whitetip sharks are sporadically sighted. On several occasions, a whale shark was seen p***ing.

Apo Reef Natural Park
3 hours by banca. Depth >50m. Very dramatic drop-offs down to about 400m. The steep walls are well covered with corals, sponges, tunicates, nudibranchs and slugs. The coral formation at the plateau is magnificent. Green and hawksbill turtles, and a multitude of fish including damselfish, butterflyfish, batfish, surgeonfish, snappers, fusiliers and trevallies are common.

Coron Shipwrecks
10 shipwrecks you can explore: Black Island Wreck, Taiei Maru, Akitsushima, Gunboat, Olympia Maru, Kogyo Maru, Irako, Mamya Maru, Tangat Wreck, East Tangat Wreck.

Coron Island Barracuda Lake
Off Coron Island . Depth > 40m. This freshwater lake is surrounded by limestone cliffs and served by a hot spring. The water temperature ranges from 27-40 0C. The transition between the layers of cold water and hot water is abrupt. The interface is sometimes visible. There are numerous shells on the bottom, shrimps on the walls and some rabbitfish in the shallow area. The above-water environment is equally fascinating.
